From marketing to cryptocurrency and more, SaaS platforms emerge victorious in Q4

As we reported in our latest NYC Seed Deal Report, Q4 deal volume was down 33% from last quarter, though total capital investment continues to pour in at a healthy pace. Average check size for the quarter topped $2MM - up over 10% from last quarter and 25% from Q4 2016.

D2C activity was up from last quarter, with a number of health and wellness brands emerging onto the scene. But it’s the enterprise SaaS platforms that continue to drive the most activity. Q4 saw new SaaS platforms take their own spin on digital marketing, cryptocurrency, HR, and tailored infrastructure solutions.
