Beauty, Nature, and Building Drove Q3 Deal Flow

As we reported in our Q3 NYC Seed Deal Report, initial figures for Q3 reveal modest but steady growth in NYC seed deals, with 39 rounds closed and $69.7MM in total funding - an increase of 5% and 4%, respectively, from what we reported at this time last quarter.

Sectors that saw the most activity in Q3 were Enterprise SaaS platforms across several verticals, Real Estate, and eCommerce startups. A significant number of eCommerce deals were in the beauty vertical, with emerging brands leveraging technology and high-quality ingredients for differentiation.

The Primary NYC Seed Deal Report covers all NYC Seed deals - which we define as $250K-$3.5MM - that have been publicly announced in the quarter. We know there are deals that have closed but not yet been announced, including some of our own, and those will be added once they are public.
