Jackie builds Primary's brand in NYC Tech and beyond.
As the Director of Brand and Communications, Jackie articulates and amplifies Primary Venture Partners’ external presence while also supporting portfolio companies’ brand initiatives.
Prior to joining Primary, Jackie spent the last decade in B2B and Consumer marketing roles at various NYC startups. Most recently, she was the first senior content hire at meal kit company Plated, where she built and oversaw its award-winning site Morsel, and worked closely on its rebrand. Before Plated, Jackie was an early employee at B2B SaaS company Appboy (now known as Braze) and grew its content, retention, and sales enablement initiatives, and spent years building Zagat’s digital presence pre-and post-Google acquisition.
Jackie graduated from Barnard College and studied English, Art History, and Film.
The Rest of the Story
I grew up in Los Angeles, came to New York to attend college, and never left. I aspire to constantly be surprised by what New York has to offer. After 15+ years of living here, I look for as many offbeat, interesting cultural opportunities as possible, and I haven’t been disappointed. Outside of work you’ll find me experimenting with new recipes, trying out new restaurants, visiting random museums and galleries, and seeing as many new plays + musicals as I can.
Stuff You Wouldn't Know
Added Value: As a former food writer/editor, I’ve developed a reputation for being somewhat of a concierge when it comes to personalized restaurant recommendations.
My Travels: While not necessarily intentionally, I’ve traveled alone to five different countries. I love how liberating it is and how accomplished I feel after navigating foreign countries solo. Highly recommend it.
Random Fact: I don’t know how to ride a bike. My most recent attempt to learn was embarrassingly documented by a publication (that thankfully is no longer available online).
